Trump Criticized by Bishop During Sermon in Front of Entire Congregation

Donald Trump was publicly criticized by Bishop Mariann Budde during a sermon on Tuesday, January 21, in front of the entire congregation. The 78-year-old former president attended the church service as part of his inauguration celebrations, accompanied by family members, including Melania, Tiffany, and daughter-in-law Lara. Vice President J.D. Vance was also present.

During the sermon, Budde called on Trump to show mercy to the LGBTQ+ community and emphasized the importance of compassion for marginalized groups. She also expressed concern about the fear immigrants had regarding the administration’s mass deportation plans. The bishop urged Trump to allow refugees fleeing war-torn regions to seek safety in the United States.

Both Trump and Vance appeared visibly irritated by the bishop’s remarks.
