In an intimate conversation with Closer Weekly, Martin Sheen delves into his bond with his son, Charlie Sheen. “Charlie is my ultimate inspiration. Despite his struggles, I couldn’t be prouder. I have endless admiration for him,” the 77-year-old shares warmly.

Martin reveals that despite Charlie’s public disclosure of his HIV diagnosis in 2015, he remains resilient. “Charlie is managing remarkably well,” Martin affirms, acknowledging the weight of his son’s illness. “Living with HIV is a tremendous challenge, but he faces it with incredible courage.”

“He has shouldered burdens unlike anyone else I know, yet he maintains a spirit of humility and compassion that truly inspires me,” reflects The West Wing veteran on his 52-year-old son’s resilience.
