Ashley Olsen appeared relaxed as she strolled through New York City with her two siblings. This sighting of the former actress comes two decades after her decision to retire from acting.
Since withdrawing from the public eye, Ashley Olsen has rarely been seen in public. However, a recent rare sighting occurred as she walked alongside her twin sister, Mary-Kate Olsen, and younger sibling, Elizabeth Olsen, in the streets of New York City.
The trio was spotted bundled up for the evening chill. Ashley, 37, sported an olive green parka and loose-fitting jeans, looking cozy. She accessorized with a scarf, glasses, and a tote bag to keep warm. Her twin sister was also wrapped up in a maxi coat, carrying a sizable bag.
Less than a year ago, Ashley welcomed her son, Otto, into the world, keeping the news of his birth private until it was confirmed in August 2023, although some speculate he was born earlier.
Ashley shares her son with her husband, Louis Eisner, whom she married in 2022. The former “Full House” star kept her relationship low-key after leaving the entertainment industry in the early 2000s.
“I don’t feel the need to be a pretty face anymore. I’ve experienced that, but now it’s empowering to be behind the scenes. I no longer crave the spotlight,” Ashley remarked. While she doesn’t rule out a return to the industry that catapulted her career, she has no intentions of resuming her acting career.
Ashley’s last appearance on screen was in the 2004 movie “New York Minute,” co-starring her twin sister. By then, the duo had already made their mark in numerous productions.
Since then, Ashley has focused on her fashion label, The Row, which she co-founded with Mary-Kate. She is deeply involved in all aspects of garment creation and enjoys maintaining control.
After stepping away from acting to pursue higher education at 18, Ashley and Mary-Kate shifted their focus to different careers. Despite their previous relentless work ethic, they eventually decided to take a hiatus and concentrate on developing their fashion brand.
While Ashley has retired from acting, her sister Elizabeth has ascended to fame, particularly for her roles in Marvel films. Notably, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have three other siblings aside from Elizabeth.
