Candace Cameron Bure and Valeri Bure, the man she would later marry, first crossed paths at a hockey game in 1994. They started dating that same year and tied the knot on June 22, 1996.
Nearly 20 years into their marriage, they still prioritize spending time together and keeping their passion alive.
Fans got a glimpse of the playful side of their marriage in a story Bure shared on Instagram. However, the actress received a significant response from her audience, some of whom interpreted her lighthearted post as offensive.
Rather than backing down in the face of criticism, Bure decided to double down and reposted the photo on her timeline. The “sweet and spicy” nature of her relationship with her husband was evident in two photos she shared online. In the second picture, Valeri has his arm around her shoulder, and his hand is on her chest.
Some fans cautioned her that the photo was inappropriate for a “Christian star” of her standing. However, Bure had a response for her critics. “Sorry if it offended you… I’m actually not sorry,” she said, laughing, in a follow-up video shared on her Instagram stories. “I’m glad that we have fun together after so many years.”
She explained that she was simply showcasing the results of a “good and healthy marriage” after 24 years. “It makes me laugh because it’s my husband,” she further elaborated in her follow-up Instagram story video. “He can touch me any time he wants, and I hope he does.”
