Happy 59th Birthday to Sarah Jessica Parker! Today, on March 25th, the acclaimed actress and television icon celebrates her special day, albeit away from the comfort of her family home.

Last year, towards the end, Sarah embarked on a journey to London, initiating the run of her highly praised comedy play, Plaza Suite, on the illustrious West End stage. This marked her inaugural performance in London’s esteemed theatre district.

Accompanying her in this exciting venture was her husband, Matthew Broderick, who shares the stage with her as her co-star in the play. For Matthew, this marks a return to the West End after his lauded performance in The Starry Messenger back in 2019.

Their residency at London’s Savoy Theatre commenced on January 17th and received such acclaim that it was extended for an additional two weeks, concluding on April 13th. This followed the play’s remarkable 19-week engagement on Broadway in New York.

Although Sarah and Matthew have made New York their primary residence, sharing it with their three children – 21-year-old James and 14-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha – they have seamlessly settled into life in London during this period.

Taking to her Instagram, Sarah shared a vibrant photo of a birthday bouquet, expressing her gratitude to friends and fans for their warm wishes: “Still far from home, but the shared sweet sentiments make me feel connected.”

Hinting at her birthday celebration plans post-show, Sarah showcased her birthday boots – a stunning pair of heeled knee-high black leather boots adorned with bow detailing from her own shoe line.

The Broadway production, which originally opened on March 28, 2022, was met with delays due to Covid-19 restrictions but eventually concluded in July, breaking numerous box office records and earning acclaim as the third highest-grossing play revival in Broadway history.

Nominated for a Tony Award for Best Costume Design in 2022 and recently earning a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Sarah herself in the Best Actress category, Plaza Suite’s success continues to flourish.

Written by Neil Simon in 1969, the play intricately weaves the tales of three couples who occupy the same hotel suite, each facing their own unique challenges and revelations.
