‘Little House on the Prairie’: Michael Landon Had a Bad Habit of Cheating On His Wives
|Throughout its entirety from 1974 to 1983, Michael Landon was a prominent figure in “Little House on the Prairie,” although his appearances in season 9 were limited to just two episodes. Before his premature death in 1991, Landon, who had been married three times, also had a history of infidelity in his relationships.
In 1956, Landon tied the knot with Dodie Levy-Fraser. At the time, Landon was a newcomer to the acting world when he crossed paths with Levy-Fraser, whom he married shortly thereafter. Born in 1936, Landon’s first notable acting role was in an episode of “Telephone Time” in 1956, coinciding with his marriage to Levy-Fraser. Although details about their initial meeting remain unclear, Levy-Fraser, a widowed legal secretary, and Landon swiftly became husband and wife.
Landon and Levy-Fraser expanded their family, including the adoption of Levy-Fraser’s son, Mark, along with two biological children. However, their marriage crumbled due to Landon’s clandestine relationship with Marjorie Lynn Noe, a recently divorced model and actress, which began in 1960. Eventually, Landon left Levy-Fraser for Noe.
After Michael Landon’s affair with the makeup artist from “Little House” led to the collapse of his marriage with Marjorie Lynn Noe, the two dated for two years while Landon was still married. Once his divorce was finalized, Landon wasted no time in marrying Noe. Their marriage became official in January 1963, shortly after his divorce from Dodie Levy-Fraser was finalized in December 1963.
Landon and Noe went on to have four children together, in addition to Noe’s oldest child from a previous relationship, bringing Landon’s total number of children to seven. However, Landon’s involvement with makeup artist Cindy Clerico, whom he met while working on “Little House on the Prairie,” led to another extramarital affair.
Despite the turmoil caused by his divorce from Noe to pursue a relationship with Clerico, Landon quickly married her once the divorce was finalized. They tied the knot in 1983 and remained married until Landon’s death in 1991, during which time they had two children together.
While there were no rumors of infidelity in Landon’s marriage to Clerico, his history indicates a pattern of extramarital affairs. In 1991, Landon was diagnosed with aggressive pancreatic cancer and passed away a few months later.
